Wen received his B.S. in Chemistry from Nanjing University and is currently pursuing his PhD in Chemistry. His research focuses on wearable electrical and electrochemical devices for perception and healthcare. He developed a wearable hydrogel electrochemical cell for sustained molecular hydrogen delivery to treat skin pressure ulcers, work that was recognized with the Fall 2025 MRS Graduate Student Gold Award and the 2025 MRS Best Poster Award. He is now investigating electrical stimulation of the human body to understand perceptual science and develop wearable computing systems capable of rendering thermal and tactile sensations on the body.
